Trip overview

Everest High Pass Trek is suitable for adventure lovers because the trail is extremely challenging. More importantly, these itineraries introduce hikers to the remote and untouched Nangpa La Valley, the Sherpa village of Marlung and the monk village of Thame. Everest High pass Trek takes us to the Everest Base Camp, Kalapatthar, High Mountain pass, Gokyo Lake and Gokyo Ri. Furthermore, the route is extremely thrilling and includes complex passes, namely Kongma La (5,535/18,159ft), Cho La (5420m/17,782ft) and Renjo La (5,340m/17,520ft). The adventurous trekking in the Everest Three high passes requires good physical fitness and acclimatization.

Greatest period

Mid Sept to mid Dec and March to May is the best period for the Everest High Passes Trek. The climate is fine and lukewarm with terrific views. But the nights are cold and can fall to icy level in higher altitude. Winter (Dec, Jan, Feb) is also good for Everest High Passes Trek, the only problem is cold temperature. Trekking in monsoon (June, July) will be affected by rain. The hike paths are busy for the period of mid Sept to mid Dec and March to May. But in the duration of monsoon and winter the paths are not crowded and tourist can enjoy the most excellent views that nature has to present.
